Have you every had an Everything Bagel? The person who decided to scrape up all the shake-off toppings from the other bagels and put them together was brilliant. The person who thought to jar it and sell it was even more brilliant. Literally, you can put it on everything to add a little bit of amazing seasoning without a lot of work. Here are 16 uses for everything bagel seasoning.

The Seasoning
First let’s talk about the seasoning itself. It is usually sesame and poppy seeds with dried minced garlic and dried minced onions and most likely salt. From there, each brand varies a little. Some add other seeds or different proportions. You can buy it, but it is far more economical to make a big batch and store it in a mason jar with a shaker top. You can go here for our recipe which include mustard seeds for a little something zingy.
16 Uses for Everything Bagel Seasoning
Everything Bagel Seasoning @ Breakfast
One: Fried Eggs
Sprinkle it on you fried eggs right after you crack them into the pan. It will absorb just enough liquid by the time your egg is ready, so the garlic and onion will not be crunchy, but the result is delicious.
Two: Hardboiled Eggs
Sprinkle it on hard boiled eggs and diced avocado. This one of my favorite quick Whole30 breakfast ideas. (See my post on 10 Whole30 Breakfast for more ideas).
Three: Whatcha’ Got Omelet
Add it to a Whatcha’ Got Omelet. This works especially well if you are using some leftovers that already has some Everything Seasoning on it.
Everything Bagel Seasoning @ Lunch
Four: Tuna or Egg Salad
Add it to your tuna salad. Or your egg salad. Chicken Salad. Turkey Salad. You get the idea. You do want to make this a little ahead since the minced garlic and onion will give a startling crunch if you eat it right away. Additionally, making it ahead also allows those garlic and onion flavors to meld with the mayo and protein for added deliciousness.
Five: Salad Topper
Sprinkle it on your salad. One of my favorite Whole30 lunches is to make some compliant tuna salad and then fill a one pint wide-mouth mason jar about half way with arugula and other veggies, add a layer of tuna salad and then top with some Everything Bagel Seasoning. There is no need for dressing just be sure to get some tuna and veggies in each bite. (For other great Whole30 Lunch ideas, check out this post.)
Side Dishes with Everything Bagel Seasoning
Six: Roasted Vegetables
Roasted or grilled vegetables are perfect with a little everything seasoning. My favorites are Roasted Everything Asparagus and Roasted Everything Mushrooms. Grilled veggies are just like roasted veggies, toss them in olive oil and everything season, add them to a grill
Seven: Potatoes
Potatoes also love everything seasoning. Check out this recipe for Everything Roasted Potatoes. You can also sprinkle some of boiled potatoes served with butter to boost the flavor.
Eight: Mushrooms and Onions.
When we have steak, whether venison or beef, we like to have a side of mushrooms and onions cooked in lots of butter or ghee. Adding some Everything seasoning adds lots of flavor without a lot of extra effort.
Nine: Sauteed Zucchini
It’s almost zucchini season around here which means the zucchini will be present at meals regularly until fall. Slice zucchini and onion. Add olive oil, butter or bacon fat to a skillet over medium heat. Add onions, zucchini and everything seasoning to the pan and saute until it reaches your desired texture.
