Easy Smoked Salmon

Simple Smoked Salmon prepared in the electric smoker with just salt and dill week. No brine required

Equipment

  • electric smoker

Ingredients
  

  • 1 2 lb salmon fillet
  • ¼ cup coarse Kosher salt more or less to taste
  • 1 tablespoon dill weed
  • ½ teaspoon coarse ground pepper more or less to taste

Instructions
 

  • Preheat the smoker to 225°F and let it fill with smoker. We use hickory.
  • Cut the salmon filet in half to fit your smoker.
  • Generously sprinkle with salt, pepper and dill week.
  • Place fillets directly on the rack in your smoker.
  • Smoke until the salmon reaches 145°F. 45 minutes to an hour.
