It’s official. The Semiconservative Granola Girl is a year old. And recently, I’ve been a little absent. I am a mom who works full-time outside the house in addition to writing The Semiconservative Granola Girl Blog. But I am taking my one year anniversary to share some recent updates with you.
Truthfully, I have been too busy to be creative with my cooking. So, we have had a lot of the old stand-bys. The kids are eating Homemade Instant Mac and Cheese at least once a week. And that has to be okay.
And, we’ve been eating mostly Paleo (at least on week days) since our Whole30 experience earlier in the year. As a blogger, this leaves me questioning my place. Am I now a healthy eating blogger? Is that different from my Close to Home Living motto?
I guess that all remains to be discovered.
Recent Updates
I have been working a little behind the scenes and I have spent hours updating my Recipes for Close to Home index pages. Now, common sense would suggest that I should do this each time I post a new recipes. But….
So, the Venison Recipes Page is up-to-date and there are a lot of them. Clearly we eat a lot of venison and this is a great place to find venison recipes if that is what you are looking for! I also added new links to the Salads and Salad Dressings Page. Hello homemade salad dressing.
In addition, I have added a number of new pages to this index including one dedicated to our electric smoker, desserts, soups and preserving the harvest. Now it should be easier than ever to find Recipes for Close to Home Living.
Coming Soon
So, now that the winter blahs are over. (Or are they? Right now we have freezing rain. Nothing epic like the storms of my youth, but enough to stunt my tulips. If you have tulips and daffodils where you are, I am jealous!) I am feeling inspired to create new Whole30 Salad Dressings and write-up a few more recipes for the electric smoker. (We smoke venison all the time, but there is not a recipe to be found on the this here blog!)
Thank you for sticking with me during this first year endeavor in blog writing. Be sure to check back and don’t forget to sign up for my mailing list so that you will get goodies in your mailbox from me.
