Today is day 17 of the 25 Days of Christmas Activities to Do with Your Family. Wrapping presents is one of those activities that doesn’t have to be an adults-only activity. It isn’t pretty, but let your kids help wrap presents this year.
Wrap Presents with Your Kids
Kids always want to help. They want to help in the kitchen, they want to help with the decorating and they want to help with the wrapping. So let them.
We have been letting our kids help with the wrapping since they were pretty little. Both really started helping at about the age of five, Sunshine may even have started younger. So that means that Sunshine has been helping for about three years and The Boy started last year.
And it’s true, they use too much tape and their corners are messy. In the end, that doesn’t really matter because you’re just going to wad the paper up and throw it away.
25 Days of Christmas Activities
So this year let your kids get in on the action. Let them join you in wrapping presents this Christmas. Who knows, they might even really help! And, it is never too early to begin to train your kids for those jobs that they will need to do later on.
Be sure to stop back tomorrow and for the next eight days to find other great traditions to share with your family during the 25 Days of Christmas Activities. And don’t forget to check out the first 16 days too.
