Today is day 22 of the 25 days Christmas Activities to Do with Your Family. And, today I would like to share a new tradition we started just last year: going to school to deliver teacher gifts together.
Deliver Teacher Gifts
The Boy has a lot of teachers. He has his regular kindergarten teacher, a special education teacher, a speech pathologist, and a occupational therapist. I generally put together teacher gifts of little jars of jam and maybe a few other things. And the thought of The Boy having to carry four or five teacher gifts to school on the bus (Around here the high school day starts earlier than the elementary day, so our kids take the bus from our daycare) just seemed like a little much. So, one day last year, I met the kids at parent pick-up. We waited until the school emptied of students and then we went and personally delivered gifts to each child’s teachers.
It was so special to get to see the kids make the deliveries and watch the teachers open them and thank each child individually that we plan to do it again this year. I know my kids really enjoyed it and I’m sure the teachers did too.
